My brand is very personal to me, and I feel as my business grows and develops, so do my values! I have a set of core ones that I know are the foundations at Calligraphy by Phoebe.

  • Building Connections, Relationships and the Importance of Communication
I think this is the most important. Promoting the importance of human connection is vital as the world we live in at the moment is consumed by social media and technology. If the last couple of years has taught us anything, it’s that this is amazing and actually allowed us to stay in contact - without it we would have been even more isolated. However, the flip side is that it really can isolate us from the outside world. Connections and relationships with others is what makes up the basis of our wellbeing, feeling secure and calm. Sometimes sending a message or WhatsApp isn’t cut out for the job, and that’s why I started what I do. I love sending little notes, cards, and messages to say something nice. It can be considered much more thoughtful (who doesn’t love receiving something physical ey?) and only takes a small extra bit of effort! I wanted to share this with others in the hope we can still use methods like this even in a world of technology.

  • Quality
I like to send out as high quality products as possible to ensure my lovely customers receive something that makes them happy and smile. Hight quality means physically the product being made to its highest standard, but it also means made with the most amount of thought and care. This is what I aim to do in each and every product that gets created and sent off.

  • Timeliness
Making sure orders are sent out as quickly as possible (depending on how its made) is also really important, as my customers know they can receive their chosen cards quickly. They know for the future then that if they need a card urgently (sometimes a matter of hours!) I can get it ready for pick up quickly. I do this to maintain my customer relationships as I want to build up trust within this lovely community.

  • Accommodating
I like to be as accommodating as I can and adapt to every customer’s needs and wants, making them feel respected and appreciated. Making a highly bespoke product for a customer is extremely rewarding, seeing them receive something so personal for them. I want to be able to make my products as special as is required!

  • Trust and Loyalty

This is a big one, and one that is one of the most important. In order to have good customer relationships, you need trust. This is what it's built on. I like to keep excellent communication between me and the client, keep them completely in the loop and help them as much as possible (rather than just being a service). This all shows loyalty, and is what keeps the same people coming back to a honest and trustworthy business.
